This is a private tour in Burgundy, France, for friends and family of Corinne Meyer.
We will stay in the heart of wine country in this rich region, much-celebrated for its world-class wines and cuisine. All guests and Jenn & Bernard will stay in a beautiful villa in the exquisite town of Beaune, where we'll enjoy daily breakfasts, at least one dinner, and a cooking class taught by a local French chef. Independent meals could also be enjoyed at the villa.
Each day we'll tour the area either on foot with a walking tour in Beaune and nearby villages, on bike, as we peddle through the vineyards along the "Route des Grands Cru" or in our van, as we venture further afield to Dijon and other important towns in the region, where we'll visit historical and cultural sites, shop at outdoor markets, and sample the local wines and gastronomy.
This is an active tour, including daily walks (about 2-3 miles per day), some biking, a possible hike, and optional yoga, when time allows.
Included in the tour price: Accommodations, excursions, 4 dinners, 6 lunches, wine with meals (about 2 glasses pp), cooking class, transportation during the tour and to/from train station in Dijon on first and last days of the tour.
Not included: Airfare from US, round-trip train between Paris and Dijon, any activities, meals or drinks enjoyed separately from the group, and travel insurance.
Thank you for your deposits. Total trip cost is $3500 if paid by credit card or PayPal on our web site, and $3400 if paid by check. If paid by credit card, two installments of $1,500 each may be paid here for installment deadlines of Feb. 1, 2020 and April 1, 2020.

We are thrilled to announce that we're launching new tours in the gastronomically rich region of Burgundy in the spring and fall of 2020. We're planning these culinary and cultural tours with relatives who live there, know the region well, and are serious foodies!
Tentative dates for these tours: April 15 to 22 and Oct. 8 to Oct. 15, 2020. If you have a group of 6-8 friends who would like to explore Burgundy with us during another week in 2020, let us know, as we could possibly offer a private tour during your desired week.
These tours will be quite active with lots of walking, some biking, and possibly a hike. Instead of staying a hotel, we would like to rent a villa, likely in Beaune, one of the most beautiful and famous towns, situated in the heart of Burgundy.Guests would fly into Paris and take the fast train (TGV) to Dijon. We would pick you up in Dijon and then drive to Beaune, where we'd hunker down for the week. Here's our rough plan, which will likely be tweaked before the tour, but only to create an even better tour for our wonderful guests!Stay in large, beautiful villa in Beaune with a group of 6-8 guests. Enjoy daily excursions from there - off-the-beaten-track culinary touring and also some cultural sightseeing in Dijon, Vezelay, Pommard, and more - with local guides.
Dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant as well as several outstanding local favoritesAttend 1-2 cooking and/or baking classes taught by local chefs, possibly at the houseExplore on bike at least 1-2 days or half days, depending on interestPossible moderate-level hike of 2-3 hoursOptional yogaShop at local farmers marketsVisit 2-3 local wineries to learn about the winemaking production in this legendary wine region.Enjoy plenty of downtime to explore our town or just kick back at home - with a glass of local wine, bien sur!Tour would include:
Accommodations for 7 nights - likely dates April 15 to 22 (guests fly from Boston April 14, arrive in Paris, France, on April 15) and Oct. 8 to 15, 2020. (Fly from Boston Oct. 7.)
All breakfasts at the house (bread, croissants, eggs, fruit, coffee, etc. provided for serve-/cook-yourself-style breakfasts)
4 dinners
4 lunches
Wine at meals and provided at the house for downtime and l’AperoDaily excursions and tours with local guidesTransfer from Dijon train station.Transportation during the week
Tour would not include:
AirfareTrain (TGV) from Paris to Dijon - guests could take train directly to Dijon, and we would pick them up there, and then drive to Beaune, about a half-hour drive.3 dinners
3 lunches
Any activity or snacks/drinks enjoyed separately from the group
Cost: $3,400 double, $3,900 single - as long as singles are available. (The house has limited single rooms, so they would be booked on a first-come, first-served basis.)NOTE: If the group would prefer a hotel, we will book rooms at a hotel close to or in the center of Beaune. The overall trip cost will likely be higher to reflect the price difference.
