If experiencing a different culture - tasting its food and wine, learning about its history, art, language, and people - appeals to you, you'll love our thoughtfully curated, small-group tours. Meaning “a little of this, a little of that” in French, "Meli Melo" hosts about 8-10 guests at a time, and we always team up with local professionals - guides, chefs, drivers, and more, providing an authentic, immersive, and hyper-local travel experience. In addition, we always include a "wellness" piece - we might hike up to a breathtaking view, take a yoga class in french, or e-bike through vineyards.
We are booked for spring 2024 tours hosted by Bernard and Jenn (in photo, dancing on the "Pont d'Avignon"), but we have a few spots left in our fall Provence tour - Sept. 28 to Oct. 5 and also in our French-immersion "Parlez en Provence" tour later in October.
Also, in March, Jenn is co-hosting with Joan Paul, founder of "Her Next Act," a unique experience for women 50+ in Beaufort, SC. We'll start our days with outdoor yoga, kick back on a sunset cruise with a noted naturalist, and in our daily "conversations with" series, hear from a renowned local author, a travel expert, and a chef. We have a few spots left so let us know if this piques your interest!
We also offer travel-planning services if you'd like help plotting out your own vacation. We will gladly provide references from clients for whom we have designed itineraries and booked hotels, restaurants and local guides for their vacations in France and Portugal.
Every Meli Melo tour includes shopping at outdoor markets, which are not only a place to purchase beautiful, seasonal, farm-fresh, local foods and top-quality artisanal products, but where one can experience a much-beloved Provençal tradition.
With such exquisite ingredients readily available, we always feel compelled to don our aprons and get into the kitchen. Meli Melo tours typically include a cooking or baking class that inspires guests to recreate the recipes back home!
We stay at the finest accommodations - boutique hotels with modern amenities, superior service, local character, and restaurants with standout cuisine. Or we might rent a luxury villa, where we can relax among friends and enjoy outstanding chef-cooked meals.
